Charles Podbielski

August 16, 1926 - March 13, 2018  OBITUARY  Charles (Kazimierz) Podbielski 91, of Palm Coast, passed away on March 13, 2018 at the Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House. He was born on August 16, 1926 in Staviski, Poland to the late Peter and Stephanie Podbielski (Zajaczkowski). Charles worked and raised his family in New Hyde Park, NY. In 1993 he and his wife retired and moved to the Palm Coast area. He and his wife were active members at St. Mary’s Catholic Church until their failing health kept them home. Charles enjoyed going to the beach but he very much enjoyed being home and doing little projects around the house. Funeral Services will be held at New Hyde Park Funeral Home, 506 Lakeville Rd. New Hyde Park, NY. He will be laid to rest at St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale, NY. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Czeslawa “Tessie” Podbielska in 2012. Survivors include his loving companion of 5 years, Jane Gomolka; children, Matthew (Karen) of St. Augustine, FL., Robert (Penny) of Westbury, NY., Christopher (Susan) of New Hyde Park, NY., Edward (Gretchen) of Orlando, FL., Andrew (Camille) of Oviedo, FL; grandchildren, Jean Marie, Renee, Christopher and Justin.
