OBITUARY
Denise Casey (nee Gammarato), 52, passed away on Saturday May 22nd, 2021. Denise was born and raised in New Hyde Park and graduated from New Hyde Park Memorial High School in 1987. Denise was a true warrior. She beat lung cancer back in 2011 and survived COVID-19 in January 2021. Unfortunately, the second COVID diagnosis in the beginning of May was too much for her. Denise worked for the United States Post Office for the past 14 years. She was loved by everyone she worked with. Denise leaves behind her husband of 29 years James Casey. They first met at a snowball fight when they were in high school. Denise also leaves behind daughters Kyra and Amanda Casey, brothers Michael Gammarato (Karen) and Steven Gammarato (Virginia), nephews Dylan Gammarato and Jason Defabba, mother in law Dorothy Casey and cat Onyx Casey. All will miss her dearly.
