OBITUARY
Florence “Flo” DePalo passed away peacefully on June 24th, 2023, after a battle with cancer at the age of 94. Flo is survived by her loving husband of nearly 76 years, WW II veteran and hero Vincent “Jim” DePalo (99).
A selfless, generous, beautiful, and caring person with a terrific sense of humor, Flo left the world a better place, serving others from her childhood to the end of her life. She was known to give generously of herself to both family and friends, and was always the first person to help people in their time of need.
Flo was a proud matriarch of a wonderful family that loved her immeasurably. She is survived by 4 children, Joe, Linda, Jim, and Steve and daughters-in-law Sue and Mary Lou, as well as 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren who affectionally called her “Gigi”.
Flo entered the work force later in life. She would become a surrogate mother-figure to many coworkers, in particular Joyce who was one of mom’s best friends and became her second daughter, and Joyce’s daughter Christine who became her fifth grandchild.
We would like to thank all of the medical staff, PA’s and Doctors who cared for Flo, and did all they could to treat her and make her last earthly days peaceful, and let her pass to heaven in tranquility.
