1944 - 2023
OBITUARY
Inez Marguerite Henry | August 2, 1944 to November 22, 2023 Inez Henry was born in Trinidad & Tobago, and later became a citizen of the United States of America. She was the mother of 4 children. Two girls and Two boys. Their names are Allison, Ava, first son Julian-Avalon, and the youngest son Allister. Inez migrated to the United States in the late 60’s to build a better future for her children and family. She was the oldest out of 10 siblings and the first in her generation to pave the way for her siblings to also migrate from Trinidad & Tobago to America. She was a banker who had a very special gift of accurately calculating multiple numbers and equations without a calculator. This gift garnered a career that allowed her to provide for her family. She later divorced in the 70s. Inez was a faithful Christian Catholic who believed in Jesus Christ and was deeply rooted in God‘s word and his promises. Inez leaves behind eight grandchildren; Sean, Sheanan, Shari, Stefan, Shayne, Brian, Lauren, and Madison who shares the same special birthday as her grandmother. She was also a great-grandmother of nine great-grandchildren; Allison, Aiyana, Sebastian, Shandon, Stockton, Skya, Sheldon, Shai, and the newest addition Naomi. Inez leaves behind siblings Anthony, Patricia, Jeanette, Marie, Robert, Gregory, Elizabeth, and Lilia. Preceding her in death were her parents Eugene Henry and Paulita Henry, as well as her brother Ruthven “Rocky” Henry, and also her Uncle Anthony Henry who was a father like figure to Inez. Inez truly exemplified the meaning of family. She was selfless and often shielded others from her own pain while helping them with their own. Although her adult life was filled with medical challenges, her faith in God allowed her to raise each of her four children to become successful adults and public figures. She also blessed everyone who met her and received her smiles, warm hugs, witty humor, laughs, encouragement and prayers. She was the gift that kept on giving. She will be sadly missed but never forgotten by her family, friends, and the many lives she has touched.
THANK YOU
Our entire lives we called you “Mums”. Mums, we didn’t know the day that God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly, in death we love you still. It broke our hearts to lose you but you didn’t go alone for part of us went with you the day that God called you home. Though your beautiful smile is gone forever and your hand we cannot touch, you blessed us with memories and lessons that we will treasure. Your love is now eternal and our guide. Although we cannot see you, we feel your presence near and know you are always at our side. Thank you Lord for your promises. There are not enough words to fully express our heartfelt gratitude for the condolences, love, support and words of comfort you all have extended to our family during this time. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts. The children and family of Inez M. Henry.
