OBITUARY
DiMatteo, Phyllis, 87, former resident of New Hyde Park, New York, passed away late night on December 25th, 2023 in Scottsdale, Arizona. Phyllis was born on May 9, 1936 and was raised in Pioppo, Sicily, Italy until she emigrated with her family, parents Rosa and Salvatore LoPiccolo, sister Anna Franzella and brother Joseph LoPiccolo to the United States in 1955. Phyllis, a talented seamstress and knitter, was a loving, dedicated housewife and mother who loved her family and friends dearly. Phyllis was predeceased by her beloved husband Anthony DiMatteo. She is survived by her siblings Anna and Joseph, her children, Anthony Sal, Salvatore and Joanna, daughters-in-law, Enza and Deborah, son-in-law Camillo and her seven grandchildren Anthony Phillip, Gina, Amanda, Jessica, TJ, Corina and Marc. Phyllis was a sweet gentle natured soul who accepted and loved everyone unconditionally. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Phoenix Children's Hospital. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. May she rest in peace.
